    Caterforce started life as National Independent Frozen Food Wholesalers Association (NIFFWA). This group was founded by six wholesalers, including Philip Dennis Foodservice and Hunt’s Food Group.

  • 1992

    Pioneer Foodservice join the NIFFWA buying group.

  • 1996

    NIFFWA changes name to Caterforce.

  • 1997

    Pigrim Foodservice join the Caterforce buying group.

  • 1998

    Lynas Foodservice join the Caterforce buying group.

  • 2000

    The Caterforce group turnover reaches £100m

  • 2004

    JB Foods join the Caterforce buying group.

  • 2007

    Caterforce joins the international buying group European Catering Distributors (ECD).

  • 2011

    The Caterforce group turnover reaches £200m.

  • 2012

    Chefs’ Selections by Caterforce own brand is launched.

  • 2012

    Castell Howell join the Caterforce buying group.

  • 2016

    The Caterforce group celebrates its 25th Anniversary with our members and suppliers at The Natural History Museum in London.

  • 2017

    Chefs’ Selections and Caterforce logos and branding are modernise for a new era.

  • 2018

    Chefs' Selections wins four CCM & three Great Taste awards.

  • 2019

    Roast 440 and ProClean own brand ranges are launched.

  • 2021

    Dunsters Farm join the Caterforce buying group.

  • 2022

    Chefs' Selections wins five Great Taste awards.

  • 2022

    Eden Grove own brand is launched.

  • 2023

    Chefs' Selections wins a Silver QFA award and five CCM awards.

  • 2023

    Q Catering join the Caterforce buying group.

  • 2023

    The Caterforce group turnover reaches over £740m
